Mission of the Social Justice Ministry: The purpose of the Social Justice Ministry is to educate and bring awareness to social justice issues such as voting rights, climate, refugees, wage inequality, racism, gun violence, hunger and food insecurity, affordable housing, homelessness, and access to health care.  We strive for all to have the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and full life

If you have any questions or comments, please email socialjustice@joanarc.org

The Social Justice Committee meets in the Parish Center at 9:00AM on the second Thursday of each month.  We discuss issues of interest, and organize events for the Parish.

The Social Justice Calendar below provides examples of issues in which the committee becomes involved. For more information on Social Justice issues and on how you can get involved, please see our Take Action page. Join us!

In addition to events such as periodic Fair Trade sales as well as movies and discussions with Social Justice themes, members of the Social Justice committee work with Social Justice groups from other faith communities on Cape on issues such as Refugee Support and Youth Outreach.  We also support the Nauset Interfaith Association and encourage attendance as interfaith celebrations for Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday Remembrance.
